François Bauchet, designer is born in 1948 in Montluçon (France). It studied in the School of the fine arts of Bourges. From 1978 till 1982, the fine arts of Mâcon were part-time lecturer at the School. Since 1982, it teaches the School of the fine arts of Saint-Étienne. In 1983, his first plan, having accomplished with support of VIA and called « It is also a chair », introduced in the Living room of the artists interior decorators (SAD). From 1984 till 1998, it collaborates with the gallery Neotu. In 1987, it does up the offices of Foundation Cartier, in Jouy-en-Josas (78) and participates in Researches it 8 of Kassel. Various plans chain themselves then: windows and furniture of reception of the Centre of art of Vassivière-en-Limousin, reception of the museum of Art and Industry of Saint-Étienne, furniture of exhibition and coffee of the gallery of the Game of Palm, in Paris, furniture, footbridge and madness for the park of the castle of Azay-le-rideau...In 2000, the museum of the Decorative arts of Paris organizes a personal exhibition around its job. In 2001 then in 2003, a kreo Gallery dedicates him two personals exhibition. In 2002, it is indicated « Creator of the year » Salon du meuble de Paris. His pieces of furniture and objects are actually edited by  Galerie kreo, Cinna, Ligne Roset, Ercuis, Haviland, GHM, Champagne Krug…


His creations notably belong to the permanent collections of FNAC, Paris, of the museum of Decorative arts, Paris, the museum of Design, Lisboa.
